    Keyboard shortcuts

    hi,
i have a problem with my keyboard, whereby all the shortcuts are messed, up. My shift button is messed up, and does not work, e.g pressing 1 and shoft does not get the exclamation mark, and it does not work for any characters, except the - and = button where it makes the page smaller and bigger.
i have tired to to go on control panel, and regional and language options but the country is still U.K, also i reset the settings on microsoft office by going on tool, customize, kebord and then to reset all settings.
but i still have no solution.
please can anyone help me as i cant do my work properly, without essential buttons.

thanks in advance for any help
    Abbas

Have you looked at the keyboard settings on your OS?

(ie in Windows, Start->Settings->Control Panel->Keyboard or Start->Settings->Control Panel->Regional and Language Options, Languages Tab, Details button, keyboard in Install versions.

The old one might just be dirty or something like that. I'd suggest to connect a different keyboard for the time being, see if cleaning the old keyboard has any effect and if it doesn't, replace it for good.

Yeah Man throw it because it looks like a transistor is not working properly and if you want to replace it it will cost you as a new keyboard.

                  Regards
