    Getting One way Ping

I have Live internet connection terminated on Router.
And router has its inbuilt DHCP having 192.168.0.* network
    I have 2 machines, 1 PC and 1 Laptop.
I am connecting both the machines to router to get internet access. as well as intranet (My home network between two machines.)
Previously I get IP 192.168.0.100 for PC and IP 192.168.0.101 for Laptop. from Router based dhcp.
Problem: I can ping from laptop to PC but can not ping from pc to laptop
at the same time I can access internet from both. and can ping router IP also from both, router IP is the default getway. IP 192.168.0.1.
This is hapening from when I RE-Installed XP OS on PC and newly installed XP is protected by AVG and some other spywares etc.
I can not even be able to map from laptop to PC using net use \\192.168.0.100 \C$
then providing administartor user and password. (Which I used to do before I RE-Install it)
any one know any reason ?

A friend of mine suggested to check with ICMP settings in firewall- advanced - ICMP - settings,
So I did and changed allow incoming request to "True" (checked the BOX)
      and it worked.

      So its solved.
