how do you interpret xml file

Hi

I am a VB programmer. I have an issue on how to interpret an XML file.

I pass a Web site parameters to validate a search on someone. The web site then sends back the xml confirming required information.

Does anyone know how to interpret the returning XML? I then need to pass the XML to a template that is then displayed in a web pasge.
