Problem with stream reader and split

Hi, my problem is that I need to make a memory allocation simulator, an application that fill a grid view with different colors that are the spaces that a process is going to need.

Basically the system has 1024 MB of memory space and each process need 1MB to work, so I need to represent that in a grid view or a list and also I need to open a .txt where its going to be the information of that process in excecution.

I really need help fast because I have no idea what to do now.

Please if you have some code of something to help me I will be thankful!!!
