[c#] smooth running of GIF animation

I have set an animated GIF in a picture box and i set it's visible property to true when the loading occurs but the image kind of freezes
The animations is not smooth when the dataabse is being quried.What to do ?

i am showing one gif image in ficturebox when something loads.
The probelm is that the image animation it is showing is not smooth.
What should i do ?

If you are experiencing slowdown on your GUI during database queries, maybe you should do your DB work in another thread.
