    Sage

I am creating a application vb.net and i want to pass/select information from this application into sage line50 v11.

First of all i need to know what back end database that sage uses and is it possible for me to connect straight into the back end.

I know that odbc allows me to read information from sage and also there is a sage data objects out there that allows you to do everything but it is to expensive

Is there any way i can by pass all this?

    any help will be appreciated

Not sure if this was the right place to post

First of all, I don't know what Sage is. Maybe somebody else does, but if it isn't common software, you might be better off getting support from the publishers of that software.

What platform do you plan on writing your programming in? This is the .NET forum. If you aren't going to write a .NET program, I can move this thread to a more appropriate location.

    Let me know.

I recommend getting in touch with the makers of Sage to see if they have a Software Development Kit that you can use in your program.
