problem in notepad

hi friends this is shobhana... i've some prob inrunning this pgm..
wat i've to do is
i have to search a particular number in a notepad using c#.Net.
after tat i've to replace the text before the particular found number...

some notepad words are
xavier 1978
durai 1985

here i've to find the year and i've to replace the xavier as (xavier)....

pls any one help me.....
