Where to get WCF for Visual Studio 2005

OK here the big problem... My organization is not yet ready to move to .NET
3.5 and even .NET 3.0 is still seen as something "not quite stable" (don't
    ask me why).

For those reasons the project I am working on is still based on .NET 2.0
with Visual Studio 2005 so a migration to Visual Studio 2008 is very
unlikely in the near future so I am stuck with that.

So this is what I have:

    Architect PC: Windows Vista Business (with .NET 2.0 & 3.0 & 3.5)
    Developer PCs: Windows XP/Windows 2003 with .NET 2.0 & .NET 3.0)
    IDE: Visual Studio 2005 Professional

I am asked to use WCF in the architecture but quite frankly WCF + VS.2005 +
..NET 2.0 seems to be like a nightmarish scenario. I have been browsing the
internet for a couple of hours trying to find not only the WCF but also the
VS.2005 WCF Project Template package without success!

I have the WCF installer but it complains that it needs some .NET 3.0
SDK/documentation but does not install it or suggest where to get it. Then
how good is the WCF in this setup if I can't find the VS.2005 project
templates for it. So far all the links I find are broken links and those in
the MSDN search take me to pages that do not solve the problem.

So, can anybody point me where I can find a STABLE WCF add-in project
template for Visual Studio 2005 Professional (SP1) ? Obviously this needs to
be reproduceable in some way because of the application deployment
    requirements.

Just use the 3.0 templetes in VS 2005.

Microsoft recently released the .NET Framework 3.0 (WinFX) that includes Windows Presenation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows CardSpace. If you…

And I see mention of using WCF on Vista. The link is provided, WCF for Vista
is not full installed for IIS 7. That's if you host WCF with IIS7.

Finally, if you ever get to VS 2008.

      Thanks Mr. Arnold,
The 1st link actually exposes the problem and that is that much is
said yet there is no single place (not even Microsoft site!) where you can
download all these things. All download links leading to the MS site are
      broken as I mentioned.

So where can I download this WCF templates?

You should somehow get in touch with MS and ask what's wrong with the links.

Hum... very unlikely that they will respond... I guess I will opt for not
          using WCF in this project.

Well, I use VS 2008. I am in the process of reading a WCF book. Yes I could
use the WCF template. But I have learned how to build a WCF solution from
scratch with the opening part of putting the solution together manually is
do different that what the temple has to start a project with, which the
book is geared towards VS 2005. The book is C#, if that makes a difference
and is ISBN 978-0-470-08984-2. I would say that you really need to do it and
also understand about putting all of it together manually, very interesting.
