    crystal reports in vb.net

    Hi,

    I am learning VB.NET and for practice I am making a project on supermarket store in vb.net 2005 but getting a problem to write the code for printing the bill for customer.... Bcoz i am not able to filter for a specific record in crystal report.... i want the crystal report to show only that records which are under that billno only... suppose there are two bill numbers in database namely 0001 and 0002 .. i want the crystal report to show only the details of the 0001 record only but i am unable to do that.... Plz Help ASAP

    r u using Dataset to display report or any thing else?

      Create a parameter in your crystal report which maps the data type to that of the billno field.
      then use select query, and add a new comparisn. seelct the billno field and select "is equal to" option, and then select the paramter you just created.

      Once you have this done, refresh the report and it will ask you to input the parameter.

      When creating the report from your code, pass the bill no explicitly specifying the parameter name.
