VS2005 Web Developer: Breakpoints Stopped Working.

I have been googling this problem to no end this morning. I see its a common problem, but all the fixes are for VS2005 Pro.

The error on the breakpoint im getting is that the source code is different from the original version.

It even tells me to right click on the breakpoint and goto location, blah blah. Or goto tools->options->Debugger. Neither of which exsist in Web Developer Express.

Am I missing something?

Please Help! I need my breakpoints! :'-(

What that means (99% of the time) is that, even though it didn't tell you it, it was not able (or did not) overwrite the files with the new code you just compiled.

Best solution:
Wherever the program runs at, go delete all the files and then do a debug build/deploy and your breakpoints should work.

Thanks for the quick reply Plater. That was the problem, the hard part was finding where it compiled to. What i found was:

C:\WINDOWS\Micr osoft.NET\Frame work\v2.0.50727 \Temporary ASP.NET Files

And just deleted the folder that was the same name as my project. After that all ran well.
