Syncing data to a SDIO card instead of the handheld PC

I purchased an iPAQ 212 Enterprise and am tearing my hair out because nowhere
can I find instructions to sync my data to an SDIO card instead of the unit
itself. Also is it correct that once I have transferred the data through
the folder on my desktop that I should empty this folder?
Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated.
