    how to host a website

    hello...
    I had created my first application and i have the host and domain name
    but i dnt know how to host it to net. can any one help me so that i can run my application online

    If you mean you are the host, I believe this is a very bad idea:

    1. Security - if you need to ask it is unlikely to be secure and you welcome hackers into your network/home.
    2. Support - let someone else worry about 99% uptime.
    3. Scalability - lets imagine the best outcome you have lots of traffic. Next thing you know your computer grinds to a halt and all your users disappear never to return.

    I have a simple rule of thumb, if a site is not worth paying hosting for, its not worth putting it on the web. You will actually save time and money (you are not being paid to set this up I assume) hosting it elsewhere, who knows you may even be able to claim it in your tax return. Good luck!
