How to Connect my MS Access to the remote SQL Server??

Dears, I am trying to create a type of smiple reporting tool using my MS Access. But I want my MS Access to read from the SQL Server that I have on the remote server.

Kindly give me some idea how to do that. Or if there are other options to create reports reading from remote SQL server kindly let me know.

One way to do so is to connect to the SQL Server tables using an ODBC driver. SQL Server drivers are part of the standard set available in the ODBC data source administrator for Windows.

Before you can connect Access to your SQL Server tables you need to set up a suitable ODBC connection using the ODBC data source administrator. When you have done that you can link Access to your SQL Server tables via the newly-created ODBC DSN connection. Once you have linked Access to the tables in SQL Server you can create queries, reports and so on as needed.
