Change color of specific text while watching logs

I would like to start off apologizing for any mistakes i may make when trying to explain my situation, I am very new to this. Just started a new job and I am currently learning how to watch logs via MySql. I had noticed that there was a way to select a specific line of text and change the color of it each time it pops up in the logs making watching logs a bit easier for people like me!

I have searched online for this query but cant seem to find it. I do have basic MySql knowledge but as stated above, I am very new to all of this. There are different user Ids and all I'm trying to do is change it so that when the user id comes up in the logs, I will notice when it is the user I am trying to watch. Any help is much appreciated!

This depends totally on the tool used to watch the log-files, and has nothing to do with MySQL.

Which tool are you using to look at the log-files?
