How to fix connection error when connecting from Win7 machine to Linux using TOAD

Hi

I have installed Toad for mysql 4.6.0.531 on my office PC having windows 7 installed and our database server is Linux after giving host name ie server IP, user name and pass when i want to conenct to my db i gives message "Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.1.2' (10061)"

it seems like your MySQL server does not allow remote connections (ref.)

or it could be that you need to connect with the ssh details option
