How to send email Job via MySQL

Hi All,

I have a situation where I need to send an email to user when their ticket is automatically marked as completed after 48 hours.

That is,
1. I will have a job which will look for result and update the 48 hrs old data.
2. Once that is completed I want to send individual email to these people about the same.

Please let me know how do I proceed. I am good with Step-1 but need some help for Step-2.

Does mySQL have xp_sendmail like SQL ?

No there is no functionality that I know of within MySQL.

How are you implementing the job which will look for result and update the 48hrs old data?

This could be implemented using PHP. Upon successful update you could retrieve the appropriate email addresses and send the mail through PHP.
