Is it possible to use a Network drive or server UNC path for datadir?
at my.ini I tried using:
#Path to the database root
datadir=s:/MySQL/Data/
or
#Path to the database root
datadir=\\serve r\MySQL\data\
But is not working.
When starting the service I receive:
Could not start the MySQL service on Local Computer
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly
It seems it cannot see the datadir, but I can see the directory by just doing run and entering the path.
Is there any security problem while MySQL service tries to access to the datadir in the remote server?
Is this configuration possible?
