How to insert an image in mysql ?

hi,

Please tell me ,how to insert an image in mysql ? for example ,my image is in the c drive under the image folder.

We can use "BLOB datatype" for storing of the images.But i don't know ,what steps to follow to insert an image in a table.Please give an brief explanation on this.Thanks in advance......
