    Passing Drop Down List Selected Value to a textbox on a new page

    There is a drop down list on my Web page with values 1,2,3,4,5 to be
    selected by the user. Once the user has selected a value, he/she clicks
    on the submit button. When he/she does that I would like the selected value to appear in that text which is on the new page. I can make the selected value appear on the same page but not sure how to make it go to the other page.

    That of course would depend on how you submit the page.

    1) is your button a <input type="submit">
    2) is your button a <input type="button" onclick="doMySu bmit();"

    In # 1 your page is submitted via get or post and the selected value is transmitted with the page.

    In #2 The answer may be the same as #1 if you use the form.submit(), but if you are doing something else similar to hyper link href="your Url\parameters" then you may have to extract the value the same way you use to display it on the page, as you say you know how to do.

    your URL takes parameters like this ?name1=value1&n ame2=value2.... ...

      Hey Claus Mygind

      Thanks for that, i ended up using a get method and used a js script to split up the url and retrieve each parameter and its value and displayed it on the new page :D
