    Tooltip with .SWF inside?

I am wondering if it is possible to have a small .swf (Flash animation) inside a tooltip? Ideally it would start playing when a hotspot is rolled over and the tooltip appears, but it would also be fine if it actually started 'playing' when page loaded then it only became visible when the tooltip is active. Just a small, probably looping .swf.

Anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how I'd go about it? Thank you in advance, I am very grateful for any help.

    • Make a tooltip with a DIV.
    • Set its position as 'absolute'
    • Set its zIndex to (say) 500
    • Get its x-y from the event
    • Set it visible only when required event occurs.
    • Place you required SWF inside it.

But if the SWF had audio, would that stop playing when cursor is moved and tooltip disappears? Or would it carry on?

      Thank you.

Ok, well I've sorted it, the SWF works fine, but the audio doesn't stop until another hotspot is rolled over or the same one is rolled over again. I don't know enough js to do that. I'll live with it how it is.

          Thanks for your help.

            Don't give up!!

Try to remove the SWF from the tooltip on omouseout by setting innerHTML of the tooltip to blank. And when you show it again, again put the SWF inside the tooltip.

Not sure, but it may work.
