Description

Assist the development team on a conversion and reverse engineering of
existing legacy code application to Java / J2EE using industry leading
development tools and methods. The selected candidate will participate in
all aspects of the project including requirements and gap analysis, design,
hands on coding and testing support in short cycle of iterative development
projects. Most of focus will be in coding and development with participation
in testing and defect correction.
Required hardware

* Experience with Unix, Apache Tomcat server, and/or Oracle Application
Server.
Required software
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
* 5 or more years* experience in software development in object oriented
programming languages. Understanding and hands on development in Java/J2EE.
Familiarity with current design and coding methodologies.
* 5 or more years* experience designing and coding middle-tier and backend
application services, application interfaces, and processes that utilize XML
messages, threading, JDBC, or O/R mapping tools is a must .
* Extensive Hand on experience with Struts and/or Spring Model View
Controller (MVC) architecture approach is a must.
Desired Software

* Familiarity and some experience utilizing one or more of the following
Java-based frameworks: Hibernate, Spring Framework, or ACEGI is highly
desirable.
* Other highly desirable experience: PL/SQL, Perl script, UNIX shell

* Exposure and experience with HP-UX operation system.
Required Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, can be substituted with extensive
programming experience in Java/ J2EE and other object oriented programming
languages.

Brainbench or IKM test scores as Computer Programmer and/or Computer Systems
Analyst in J2EE a plus.
