PHP - 404 file not found UsingPHP in IIS XP Pro.

Need Your Help

Installed IIS 5.1 in XP Pro. URL http://localhost "IT WORKS"

Installed C:/PHP

Followed several different installation instructions. All were the same. Started over three times.

Infophp.php is in C:/inetpub/wwwroot

URL http://localhost/infophp.php.

Always get 404 File cannot be found on this server.

It says "IT WORKS!"? Sounds suspiciously like the Apache index page. (Not that I remember if IIS does that to.)

Do you happen to have Apache installed? Or did you ever have it installed? (Or packages like XAMPP or WAMP)

Apache is not installed. I have carefully followed the instruction to install IIS as and PHP. When http://localhost is entered as the URL This is displayed. "It Works". But when I enter http://localhost/infophp.php I get a 404 error "File not found on this server" IIS does not find the file in c:/inetpub/wwwroot where it has been placed.
