Hi,
I am trying to setup a web development server on my company's local network, and I am not quite sure what the best method is. I am basically duplicating the software setup on the live hosting server (iis 6.0, mysql4, php5, coldfusion 7), and my plan at the moment is to allow FTP access on the local network to the websites. Which would then be accessed by dreamweaver on the various client machines. To access the websites a user would key in the following: http://dev-server/<website>/
Is there anything wrong with this method and is there a better way of doing it?
I am keen to make the synchonisation of the websites on the client machine, local server and live server as easy as possible.
Thanks in advance,
Chromis
