IIS Configuration Settings changed automatically?!

Hi all,

Is there any way that some of the IIS 6.0 configuration settings can be automatically changed?

Its just that out Web Site went doen last week because the "Enable Parent Paths" box was unchecked. Normally this is checked so I am cusrious as to how this could have been changed.

If not then I guess this must have been manually changed. Any ideas?

Could it be that the IIS6.0 metabase default settings were automatically restored somehow as "Enable Parent Paths" is unchecked as default.

And also we noticed that Allow Anonymouse Access in the security tab was also unchecked which is a default setting. Previously we had allowed this, i.e. the box was checked.

Sounds like the default settings have been restored, either that or it was reinstalled when you weren't looking ;). Some settings change in response to config changes, but I haven't heard of this one.
