Unable to created Virtual Directory in iis5.1

hi everybody,

I am a new bee with the installing IIS virtual Directory. Presently i am trying to create a virtual directory based of a folder in a Network drive. but after i finish the setup wizard. i see a red stop sign with the name of the Virtual Directory.
i also get a message saying unable to connect to the drive.

can anyone help me with this issue i am having

Try pinging the IP of the network. Hope you are not trying to set up IIS around this network drive.
