    Why is my Tumblr template incompatible with the Firefox browser?

    Hello, I would greatly appreciate any advice. I have an issue with my Tumblr template being incompatible with the Firefox browser.

    I'm not exceptionally skilled at recognizing coding errors, so I have used 'coding validators' at ((http://validator.w3.or g/)) and also tried using Adobe Dreamweaver but can’t seem to pinpoint the issue.

    The website works fine in both Chrome and Safari. I have not tried IE. I could understand if the coding differences were minimal - but in firefox the template has been completely rejected....I’v e even compared my customized template to the original creator’s template, line by line, and can’t find the problem. Their site works in Firefox.

    Here is a link to my faulty template: (excuse random expletives in my test posts)

    http://somethingdamp.t umblr.com/

    and to the original creator’s site that works fine in Firefox:

    http://thecityloop.tum blr.com/

    For your convenience, here is a link to a .pdf of my faulty template code.

    Thank you in advance for looking at this!! I have worked hard on altering it. The problem is probably something very obvious but it’s out of my expertise...

    id names can only be used once per page and must be unique to one element. If you want to use the same CSS for all those elements, change it to 'class'. That's the most glaring error but I don't know why it works in the other browsers yet.

      Take close look at your css. In the @font-face rules there are several symbols showing up.

      Code:
      @font-face {
      	font-family: 'OldNewspaperTypes';
      	src: url('http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17916990/OldNewspaperTypes.eot’);
      }

      @font-face {
       font-family: 'OldNewspaperTypes';
       src: url(‘http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17916990/OldNewspaperTypes.ttf’);
      }

      @font-face {
      	font-family: 'gnuolanefree';
      	src: url('http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17916990/GnuolaneFree.eot’);
      }

      @font-face {
       font-family: 'gnuolanefree';
       src: url(‘http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17916990/GnuolaneFree.ttf’);
      }
      The only CSS that is being applied from your style sheet is on the body tag. Those font-face rules are right after it. It is my guess that it is stopping once it reaches those illegal characters. Remove those and it should be fine.
