Having trouble with alignment in Internet Explorer.

    Greetings all:

Basically, my picture container is showing up centered and exactly where I want it in Chrome and Firefox, but when I open it in IE6 and 7 the whole thing shifts completely to the left of the page.

Am I doing something wrong code wise, is it an IE glitch...?

Any and all help deeply appreciated!

The specific page is: http://www.btypedesign .com/index-1.html

    Thank you.

Having problems with any version of Internet Explorer is expected, natural and common. It's the worst browser on the planet. 12 years behind all others in modern standards and practices. Inept at best.

Also, IE6 does not work like IE7 which doesn't work like like IE8 which won't work like IE9 and none of them work like any modern browser.

To get IE to attempt to perform like the other far more modern browsers, you need a doctype. Add this to your first line:
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
And hope for the best. No one should ever use Internet Explorer.

I hear you, drhowarddrfine! I've hated IE since it's birth. Still used Netscape instead of IE until Firefox came out...that's how much I hated it!
Thank you for the response! I will definitely try it out and see what happens...hopef ully it works. If not, I'll just put a large disclaimer on the page advising to switch to any other browser if you wish to enter site! J/K

      Again, thank you!
