I want to add a video with sound to my intranet launched by media player.

I realize I'm missing an important detail to launch this. Not sure what.
    I am currently typing in:
    <a href="desktop\T hriller Dance - 1st Take.mpg">Thril ler</a></p>

This is a video that we took and I can view it on my desktop through media player, but not when I link it as above in the intranet. Please help.

The intranet is not your desktop so how does your browser know where "desktop" is?

I'm saving the Thriller video into my intranet folder. I then add a "title" through Nvu onto the Intranet. Highlight the title, create a link by "linking it to the
video in the folder and save. I then go to the active intranet site, click on the title. It should take me directly into the video, BUT, what it does is brings up a page with the letter Q (I guess referring to an application). When I click on that page it very.... slowly links me to a "still" of the video. It doesn't move or make a sound.

Are you actually on an intranet or is this all on your one computer? I'm assuming this is Windows?
