how to display video in browser ??

i need to display videos of various extensions like avi, mpeg, wmv in my web site. what do i need to do? please suggest.

The new HTML 5 video tag should be able to do this easily, but obviously it's not widely supported yet (

).
For older browsers, try the object/embed tags.

Well, the video tag works in all modern browsers (not IE) but those videos would have to be converted to ogg/theora or H.263 for them to work.
