    Drop Down Menu Woes

I'm trying to create a drop down menu based off of some tutorials, but am having trouble.

    Link: http://drc.usask.ca/projects/emet/indextest.html
    css: http://drc.usask.ca/projects/emet/emet.css

biggest problem is that in firefox 3 and worse in Safari a horizontal scroll bar pops up in the middle of the screen (and stays in Safari) when the drop down menus pop up (i.e. are mouse-overed).

Also having trouble with spacing in Firefox (simple padding works in Safari).

Lastly, I'm a little uncertain how to (along with better way to space the nav bar links) make the drop down menus nicely uniform.

My biggest problem is the scroll bar though ... totally stumped by it.

Ignore the superfluous unordered list stuff in the middle, the stuff i'm using for the nav menu is at the bottom (#nav)

I'm quite new to this so I apologize for the banal question.

Forgive me, but I think you have your priorities a little mixed up. There is obviously difficulty with the drop-down. That does not hold a candle to the fact the page proper is broken in every browser on earth.

Delete the drop down for now. Concentrate on putting up a 2 col valid CSS and valid markup page that works in Opera, Safari, Firefox; and even IE/7. 0 and IE/6.0.

Once that is done, perhaps some one can assist in inserting the drop-down.

This is a stable layout and great tutorial. You might start here.

Why do people think any forum allows self deletion of threads?

            I don't see why not.

The main this is that the URL's in there cause this to come up during a search for the site, and its misleading!

The reason NO forum allows you to do this is because this isn't a personal service for any one person's one time use. It's an open help forum so others may learn from your questions and others answers.
