I created a website for a business using Dreamweaver CS3. I upload the files using ftp in the remoted access set up in dreamweaver. When people from the business try to upload new files using FileZilla FTP Client, like the updated products sheet, it does not post to the internet. If I go into Dreamweaver I can see the new file in the files list, but to put it on the internet I have to save over the file in my computer aand then post it to the internet. this has to be done sometimes many times a day so I can not always do it. Is there something that can be done so that when the business uploads a new file it goes to the internet.

I hate to say it, but I have no idea as to a solution. It should not matter how the files are transfered to the machine, so long as they get there. There is not way ( I believe) to set the receiving machine to ONLY accept file from a specific program, that would be ridiculous. Are there any errors when you try to access the specific files directly through the browsers url?

Ask the business to go to their host/server's control panel "file manager" to see if the new file is actually on their server. If not, it may be an ftp software error. Or ask them to clear the browser cache. Close the browser. Boot. Re-open the browser and see if the new file is now on board...Comment
