Double check your path names to make sure they are correct

You can use a GIF image if you want transparent background. When you have got the PNG file open in your graphics editor, export it. And under the export options, select "Alpha transparency". That should make your GIF image transparent where your PNG was transparent instead of being white background. Hope that solves your problems.

P.S. If you can't find the option for alpha transparency for GIF file in your graphics editor, tell me which software you use and i'll help you out.

The reason is that IE6 doesn't support transparent PNG images (alpha channel).
IE7 supports alpha channel, but the gamma channel of the PNG images is still not supported.
So use gif images as miraan said.

        Regards

PS: I really hate IE for this!!

Yes u r right. when I save the gif images in some case some white spots are coming at the boundry line of the graphic. thats why I prefer PNG images. so is there any technique to remove that white boundries.

I am using photoshop cs as a image editor
