how to connect internet

Hi,
I have internet connection, and already I connected with my desktop through lan and my laptop through wifi. Due to some reason I removed that connection setting in my laptop, now I want to connect, but It does not connect. Since, the DNS server address remains same in my desktop and my laptop too. but i can access my g-talk, but i cannot browser i tried most of browser. even though firewall is in OFF. Can anyone help me

re-establish your removed connection setting in your laptop.

If it worked before change your setup to the way it was before you deleted it.
