How to find a company which I would able to sell software rights

I am new to this forum and not quit sure if anyone can have an answer to my question.

Here it is.

Is there a way to sale fully operational software package together with the source code to a company or an interested party?

I know that I can try to market it my self and so on, but I am really more interested to get just one off payment for software rights. I knew that with proper marketing it can be sold for a lot of money. I did several sales myself, but I rather would concentrate on development then on sale side of it.

I did extensive look over the internet but did not any information on this topic.

Not an answer but another question: what do you do about maintenance, upgrades etc.? Do you train the buyers in advance and don't want anything to do with it afterwards?

I see it can be done two ways

1) I selling source code and latest version of software to an software development company with all explain to them how it all works and etc.
Then it would be nothing to do with me as they can modify software as they pleased.
2) I may give rights to sell software and then to be involeved in post sale development and maintenance of my (now they) software on some sort of contruct basis.

All for all I prefer not to be involved with money side of it, but from another side I would like to be rewarded for 10 years of my life which I spent on development testing and improvment to it. This is fully workable software package I am talking here, which has been used by real life clients
