    Verifone Ruby locked up...HELP!

    I have two Ruby Verifone Registers - one is the Master the other is the Slave. On The Slave Register I have the words "Please Wait..." blinking on the screen. I can not run any credit cards on either the Master or the Slave. Customers also can not run their credit cards on our gas pumps. We have tried everything we can do to unlock it, but it will not. We can not run our close our shift reports either as when the Master tries to connect to our credit card company to settle the shifts transactions it locks up saying "Please wait..." as well. If anyone has any suggestions/advice on how to fix this problem, PLEASE post! Thank you!!

    If seems as if your register(s) can't connect to your credit card company. If a dial up phone line is used, try to dial that company's number and listen if you hear any response at all (a high pitched hissing sound and some random beeps). If not, it is probably a connection problem; if you do hear something maybe your company has changed its communication protocol; contact them for help.

    If your registers use a DSL line, contact your DSL provider.
