    Simple question about forums/blogs

    i just want to know two question about forum/blogs .

    1) how can we find What is the basic purpose of the any forum.i mean theoverview of any forum.
    (for e-gin bytes.com yet ,i did not find any official overview of the site it just by seeing website we get it that it belong to computer programming if i am wrong correct me.)

    2) how can we find number of peoples who join the forum.


    its just for my personal knowledge as i want to join new forum/blogs
    so before joining them i want to solve these two basic question but unfortunatel unable to get it right.because in many forum which i join
    i did not get any reply of my any question/discussion even after weeks.

    1) that all depends on the person who developed the forum. Sometimes they give you an overview sometimes they don't. It would most likely be in an "introducti on" type thread

    2) some sites have counters of how many members there are others don't


    both of these are things that some places do and other don't you just have to look around there is no definite answer to your questions.
