    Something Weird...

I usually access the community from 1 of 2 places - my classes at school, and my family computer at home. For some reason, when I access it here at school, I cannot get recent C++ posts. It still shows the same posts as several days ago...possibly even as far as a week ago, with no updates. Also, I noticed that on the forum quickbar (on the right side of the screen) I can see the community forums Introductions and Lounge...I know the Lounge has been replaced with this Techie Talk forum and the Non-Technical forum, so somethings messed up.

When I access the community at home, I get all the current posts, etc. Nothing seems to be broken.

Also, this problem only occurs when accessing the C++ forums - I can still see the latest Java posts...I think.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Ganon11

Start with a Ctrl-F5 which is a force reload of the current page.

        Thanks, Banfa.
It's probably a browser setting. In IE it would be Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files, Settings.

To speed up your browsing experience, Universitys often cache(especiall y frequently visited) pages. This means that what you are seeing is something that was downloaded earlier and stored on the network.

Banfa's trick simply asks to reload from the site irrespective of any settings, rather than using a cached version.,

I don't know if the high school has that...it seems like a likely College setting, but not HS. Whatever was happening, Banfa's solution worked.
