I'm not a programmer - only knowledge is in scanning/ocr. I would like to use a scanner to scan envelopes, capture the name using OCR technology, and be able to send an immediate e-mail telling the user they have mail in their mail box. Lotus notes is being used for e-mail, however, someone said this may be too much of an interface problem, security problem, etc.
Does my OCR software interface with Lotus notes? Or someone suggested using PHP e-mailer. However, if this software is compatible with OCR data files, how does it link to the most updated Lotus Notes name and e-mail information?
