    flash website

    Hi

I am a bit of a newbie. I have made a website in flash that has about 60 frames and say 15 layers.

It is about 6mb when exported as a swf i cannot make the files (photos etc) any smaller. So basically i need to make a preloader to load the whole thing or split it up into a series of files. then make loadmovie (which i dont know how to do) I am a bit unsure what is the best way to go.

I tried to cut it up which was fine and then have a seperate html files for each swf section ie. one was home one was us one was ourwork etc etc.. But they still took ages to load each page. and didnt go seamlessly....

Please help my client wants the site asap. I am worried if i split it up how will my links work??

    Thank you!

I would use a preloader. There are way to many steps to show how to do this. So the best thing to do a search with google.
    Preloader with Flash (your version)

I have a website that is about 3.1 mb and it loads in about 4 secs.

I other thing that might help you have your images in png and have the dpi at 72 max would be 142.

    good luck

The preloader needs to on the first scene.

here is a link that has a preloader
        http://www.webwasp.co. uk/tutorials/b05-preload/images/Flash-MX/index.php

sorry I do not have the time to show you step by step on how to make one.
Copy and paste the code in.

This should only take less than a half hour to make.
