How to restore my bookmarks from a json file in firefox

    Hello,
I want to restore my bookmarks from a json file in firefox. I already have some firefox bookmarks on this machine and I want to merge these existing bookmarks with another set of bookmarks that are stored in a JSON file that firefox uses to store/backup bookmarks.

    When I try
Organise Bookmarks --> Import and Backup ---> Restore ---> Choose file
    in firefox, it says:

I don't want to replace my existing bookmarks with new one. I want to merge old and new bookmarks. Any ideas about what I'm missing?

    Thanks... :)

I found on Google that there are lots of 'bookmarks merge/synchronize applications'.
A google search for firefox + bookmarks + merge or firefox + bookmarks + synchronize will reveal loads of similar applications.

      Thanks anyways...
