Dear All.
I am supposed to design range partitioned tables. and table spaces, I have approx 30 tables each with 1 billion rows in it and each month has 200 GB worth of data.
I want a design which should be easy to implement and maintain meaning,it should be easy to roll out and roll in the partitions and during the roll out process i want that the space should be given back to the system - so
that i can save space and i can avoid spending extra bucks to buy more space.
what are the key points do i need to consider, what type tablespace is best in this regard
Version DB2 V9.7 fp2 on AIX 6.1
Please advice, your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Raoul
