    moving a C++ written application from db2 v8 to db2 v9..............

    Hi Guys,

    I dont know whether this query exactly fits to this group or not.
    Actually I am having a Application written in C++ which uses CLI API
    to perform database operations.

    Currently it is working on DB2 v8. now i want to move this application
    on DB v9.

    Does it need a recompilation with DB2 v9. Does it have any
    complecations relatated to the v9 CLI APIs.
    I have tried googling to find out some concrete documents which can
    direct me correctly.

    Thanks in Advance.....

    If you don't have any dependencies built in yourself that specifically check
    for DB2 V8, you shouldn't have any problem.

      No I am not explicitily checking any version information. My only
      worry is that whether some changes have been made to the API levels?

        If you didn't use any API functions that were marked as "deprecated " in V8
        already, you don't have a problem. But you may want to check if there are
        new "deprecated " ones so that you can fix your code until the next DB2
        version comes out.
