    A tool to dry a wet motherboard

    pls. I need the name of the tool to dry a motherboard provided it is wet with water and there is a need for urgent use for the motherboard this and any other related useful information i need thank you

        If the water was something like tap, river, or (yuck) sewer, you should take the system to a professional. If you dry this "hard" water down to the board there's a high probability of salting out which will cause a short somewhere you don't want it to happen.

        Purchase a gallon of distilled and preferably deionized, water and using a spray bottle, triple rinsed with the Distilled water - including a larger amount thru the sprayer, rinse the board. Then use the hair drier on a low setting - heat is not your friend on any modern motherboard (and not so much on the old-school ones either!).

        Next, get a large bag of rice, place the motherboard in the rice... wait no less than 48 hours - I say at least 3 days or more - the longer the better!

        After that - 50/50 chance that something will fry once the power is applied.
