I have lenovo yoga pro 2 ultrabook with Windows 8.1. Hibernate mode is enabled. Will it hibernate if battery drains while in sleep mode, or will it simply shut down?

Usually there are thresholds set saying if the battery drops below a certain point the OS will move into a certain state (Hibernate/Sleep/Suspend/Shutdown). It depends what your current defaults are, however if for some reason there is continued drain it is possible for the computer to enter an unrecoverable state and require a reboot and lose whatever unsaved data was open.
