A number of operating systems and programs have limitations on a computer's physical recently accessed memory, XP if I remember correctly was 2 GB stock, Vista was 4 and so on. A number of .exe's also have their own similar limitations, usually 2 GB (on occasion by-passable with CFF explorer).
My question is, is there such a limit in these systems and .exe's for capping the amount of usuable visual/graphical RAM?
I ask this question because I have not really bothered with more than 4 GB's of physical RAM due to these issues in systems and particularly exe's (going for speed over qauntity bang for buck wise). However 2, 3 and 4 GB of memory on Video Cards is now rather common place, and I was curious if I should shell out bucks for this upgrade.
