what does c=sizeof (233L) mean?

I know it will give 4bytes of memory space but what about 233?
I am confused with that part.. can anyone please help me out wid this one??

233 is a symbolic constant. The code gives the size of 233 as a long int.

Very odd. sizeof(long int) gives the same answer. Plus the 233 can't be used anywhere else in the program.

Is this some textbook example on the size of symbolic constants?
