I'm afraid this is a slightly more complex subject than you expected. The format specification is public, so you can code your own reader for it:

So you're saying it doesn't have to be Microsoft Word? Use an HTML file instead. Otherwise, you will have to read and learn the spec that was linked. And you will most likely have to buy a license from microsoft to use their spec in your program.
