    regarding fread,fwrite and fseek functions

I am unable to understand how do we use these functions, and also can anyone explain me the arguments in details when used for normal files and when used for binary files? and also do we use these functions in real time examples????
    Thanks in advance...

fread reads data from an iostream, fwrite writes data to an io stream and fseek alters the current read/write position in an io stream.

The details are in any good reference book or website such as this.

binary files are normal files, in fact all files are binary files. Sometimes files containing only text are processed by the system to handle the end line characters a bit differently. That can be a issue with fseek as it muddies the water about the size of the file.

Without some context I do not see what real time has to do with your question.

Those databases that you refer to probably use these functions deep down inside.
