    Does Eclipse comes with C/C++/Java compilers for college students to do some project

    HI:

    Does Eclipse package comes with C/C++/Java compilers for college students to do some project in C/C++/Java. I know Visual studio comes with, but those are paid packages, I am looking for some open source package to do some project using web/java/C with some integrated development environment. Thanks in advance.

      You don't have to pay for Visual Studio, you can get the Express edition for free, Google it.

      Eclipse doesn't come with Java/C++ you have to download them separately. Java you can get from Sun and for C/C++ development download MinGW32

          I regularly use Eclipse for Java projects. For C/C++ you need to install plugins, http://www.eclipse.org/cdt/. I have never tried using these though, as I normally use Visual Studio express for C++ projects, http://www.microsoft.com/express/Windows/ though it is not open source.

          Are you looking specifically for open source, or are you looking for free?
