I can't install Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0(Help!!!)

I have the disk of Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0.
when I install it, it show "The Visual C++ 6.0 Introductory Edition setup failed.

Please try re-running the Installation Wizard.

and then show "Couldn't find Acme setup"
My computer work with XP system.
My teacher teatch C language with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and use it to test,
so I must install it.

How can I do to solve the problem ?

Your copmputer needs this "Acme setup" which I expect is not used anymore since VS 6.0 is 10 years old.

Why doesn't your teacher use Visual Studio.NET 2008 Express Edition? It's free. It works with Windows XP and does not need "Acme setup"?
